You may convert master data (Party Master/Item Master) in Visual Catpro
from an MS-Excel File. To do so, 1st you have to open modules from Misc
Modules. In Visual Catpro 2009 Misc. Modules are moved in 'Others' Menu.
Converting Item Master/Price List From MS-Excel File:
Select "Import Excel Price List" from Misc Modules. Re-Enter in Others
Menu. After clicking on "Import Excel Price List" button following screen
should appear:
Click on "..." button & select the Excel file from which you wants to
convert data. When you prepare excel file you have to follow certain rules.
These are:
1. All your column names in excel file should be same as we have
given the column names in above screen. Suppose if you have stored
item name in Item Description column you should change it to "Item".
2. You have to specify "Database" in the Name Box in MS-Excel after
selecting the cells which you wants to convert as shown below:
Converting FAMaster From MS-Excel File:
You may convert FAMaster data from MS-Excel File. To do so open "Import
Excel Master" module from Misc Modules. Re-Enter in Others Menu. After
clicking on "Import Excel Master" button following screen appears:
You should prepare the excel files according to the rules discussed in
above topic.
